This was a student film I did while at CalArts.  It’s more of an animatic: It was done as a “pencil test” - all in pencil with translucent animation paper and shot straight ahead (I did use a simple  exposure sheet) under a video camera. Editing was done only to splice the shots together (we only had thin slices of time to shoot the footage under the camera).  It is kind of heavy on the layout and backgrounds; light on the character animation, but it works.  My short was included in the annual “Producer’s Show” in ’97 and the “star” of this cartoon is a disgraced former U.S. House Speaker and Fox news contributor.
